Taiwanese electronics giant Acer expanded it’s Nitro gaming series by launching Nitro 5 Spin 2-in-1 convertible notebook that serves the purpose for casual gamers. It was announced back in August and sports a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen IPS display is equipped with 8th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM, 8GB DDR4 RAM. With its 2-in-1 feature, you can switch its form factor between many modes likes Laptop, Tent, and Tablet. It also has a fingerprint scanner built into the trackpad. As for storage, the laptop is available in 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD options. Both models come with Windows 10 Home.
It comes with an all-aluminum chassis with a black brushed hairline finish and red accents. It also features Acer Color Intelligence, a proprietary technology that adjusts gamma and saturation in real-time, optimizing screen color, brightness and saturation without clipping and over saturation. Moreover, the display also has Acer Bluelight Shield. It helps to reduce blue light emissions that cause eyes strain.
It has Acer True Harmony and Acer Smart Amplifiers for loud and rich sound. It features an omnidirectional ExoAmp Antenna that optimizes the antenna position for a stable wireless signal.
Connectivity options on the Acer Nitro 5 Spin include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, 1xUSB 2.0, 1xUSB 3.0 and 1xUSB 3.0 with Power-off Charging, 1xUSB Type-C, 1xHDMI port, and a 2-in-1 card reader. The laptop measures 381.5×258.1×17.9mm and weigh 2.2kg. It is powered by a 4-cell 3220mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 10 hours of gaming, the company says.
