Expanding its flagship consumer notebook line-up, American laptop manufacturer HP on Tuesday announced the launch of the next-generation Spectre x360 laptop in India including the HP Active Pen to take advantage of the touchscreen for creativity usage. The Intel Core i7 processor variant is available for Rs 1,57,290 while the Intel Core i5 processor variant is available at Rs 1,15,290 across retail outlets and HP India online store.

The new Spectre x360 laptops feature the 8th-generation Intel Core processors and are targeted as premium productivity laptops.

“The newest Spectre laptops further demonstrate our endeavour to find exciting ways to drive momentum in the premium PC market,” Vickram Bedi, Senior Director-Personal Systems, HP Inc. India, said in a statement.

The major highlight of the laptop is the sleek design and latest powerful hardware. The laptop comes loaded with a CNC machined aluminium body with angular lines and it is available in Dark Ash Silver colour with Copper accents.

The device features a 13.3-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1980 x 1020 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The Spectre x360 is powered by the latest 8th generation Intel Core i7 and Core i5 processors along with Intel UHD Graphics 620.

The Core i7 model is backed by a 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with 512GB SSD storage, while the Core i5 model comes with an 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with 360GB SSD storage. The laptop runs on Windows 10 Home (64-bit) and it also comes loaded with HP Active Pen, which is Windows Ink certified.

On the battery front, it is backed by a 3-cell, 60 Wh Li-ion polymer battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 16.5 hours with HP Fast Charge technology. HP says the x360 will charge from zero to 50 percent battery life in 30 minutes.

For security, it comes with a fingerprint reader located on the side for easy access, HP Sure View integrated privacy screen option to eliminate visual hacking with one quick keystroke, and HP Wide Vision FHD IR camera to log in with facial recognition.

On the connectivity options, it supports 2 Thunderbolt 3, 1 USB 3.1, 1 headphone/microphone combo, 1 microSD card reader, WiFi 802.11 a/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2. The laptop weighs just 1.26 kilograms and can be used in laptop, tablet and tent mode.
