HMD Global has officially launched the Nokia 7 Plus at MWC 2018 but the device now officially comes to India today. It succeeds the recently launched Nokia 7. Like Nokia 8 Sirocco, the Nokia 7 Plus is also an Android One device. At the launch event in New Delhi, HMD Global also launched Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 8 Sirocco. Also announced the launch of the Nokia Mobile Shop – the company’s online store for India.
Specifications and Features
The Nokia 7 Plus features a 6-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset which is an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz. That is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage which will be expandable up to 256GB through a microSD card.
On the back of the 7 Plus is a dual-camera setup powered by Zeiss optics. The primary wide-angle sensor is a 12MP camera with a f/1.75 aperture coupled with a 13MP telephoto lens with a f/2.6 aperture. The telephoto lens will allow for bokeh shots which have now become very trendy. On the front is a 16MP fixed focus camera with a f/2.0 aperture, 1-micron pixels, and Zeiss optics.
The Nokia 7 Plus runs Android 8.0 and is powered by a 3800mAh non-removable battery. It measures 158.38 x 75.64 x 7.99 (height x width x thickness) .
The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G,, and 4G. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The fingerprint sensor is now placed on the back.
Nokia 7 Pus pricing and Availability
Available in two colors – Black and White – with copper accents, the Nokia 7 Plus is priced at ₹25,999 ($399) and will go on sale starting April 30 with pre-bookings starting from April 20. It will be available online on Amazon.in and Nokia Mobile Shop, as well as from select retail outlets like Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C, Croma and Reliance.
